Making links

Where do I find my provider token?

It's the same number for every app on your developer account. In App Store Connect, open an app, go to Analytics › Acquisition › Campaigns and generate a campaign link. Copy the digits after pt= in that link and paste them into Campaign Toast's Settings. Without it, App Store Connect can't count your links.

What can a campaign be called?

Apple allows up to 40 characters. Campaign Toast keeps your names inside Apple's rules as you type. Short, plain names like reddit or newsletter-nov are easiest to read later.

Can I change the badge?

No. The badge HTML uses Apple's own Download on the App Store badge, loaded from Apple, so it always matches Apple's guidelines. If you want something plainer, use the text HTML link or Markdown instead.

My apps didn't show up on my Mac

Apps and campaigns sync through iCloud. Check that both devices are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, then give it a minute. The App Store Connect key does not sync, on purpose: add it on each device where you want Results.

Results

Which key do I need?

Make an API key in App Store Connect under Users and Access › Integrations › App Store Connect API. To turn on Apple's reports the first time, the key needs the Admin role. That's needed once per app; after that a Sales key is enough to read them. Download the .p8 file, then add it in Campaign Toast with its Key ID and Issuer ID.

Why don't I see any numbers yet?

After reports are turned on, Apple takes a day or two to make the first ones, and each report runs about two days behind.

Why does a campaign say "under 5 or none"?

Apple's detailed reports leave out any group of fewer than 5 people and add a little noise, about 2 either way, to keep people anonymous. A campaign with a handful of downloads can disappear from the daily view. Try the weekly or monthly view, which loses less.

Purchases

How do I restore Results on a new device?

Open Results or Settings and tap Restore Purchase. Results is bought once and works on every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to the same Apple Account.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Campaign Toast is in beta on TestFlight right now. If something looks wrong, tell us what you tapped and what you expected, and a screenshot helps a lot.
